Day 3 - Lunes de miel

We started off with breakfast buffet.. pretty much the same as yesterday's. The fruit has been fantastic each meal. Today had a special treat - dragonfuit! Mark grabbed several pieces and I was able to try some.

Today was all about relaxing and snorkeling. Turns out yesterday, I got burned a bit on my back and upper legs from snorkeling. Mark also got a little red. I guess the sun has been stronger than we thought, even though it's partly cloudy each day.

Snorkeling was a bit better today. I spotted a yellow and black eel that was hiding under some cinder blocks in the water. Mark spotted this long looking fish.. it didn't look like a fish or an eel. It was blue and blackish. Since we are fish experts this is about as descriptive as it gets! haha

Unfortunately for us (and anyone reading this), I didn't bring my camera out this time. It was pretty cloudy when we started and I was thinking I couldn't get good pictures with that lighting. Turns out, the sun started coming out at times and the whole ocean floor turned so bright!

Afterwards, we ordered some poolside snacks while drying off. We ate and drank and swam until we decided to have lunch at the buffet. Today's lunch buffet included Asian dishes, like teriyaki beef, rice, crab wontons, and several more things. Mark grabbed lots of tacos. We finished off with some more yummy ice cream.

We hung out poolside for the rest of the afternoon. We talked with another couple for a bit who had just arrived for the day. They were ready to eat and drink too.. the lady saw my mango margarita and wanted to get one too!

I wanted to wait until sunset to get some pictures, but decided to change for dinner before the sunset. Luckily we took one good picture before...

...because when we came back out the clouds had rolled in over the mainland, blocking any good sunset. The past couple evenings had been really pretty, so I guess it's fair one evening wasn't so pretty.

We grabbed one good shot of the cloudy sunset, then headed inside to the Japanese restaurant. More sushi, some teppanyaki, and spicy pad thai!

Dessert was helado vanilla for Mark and fried helado for me! They dumped some fire on the ice cream in front of us, making for a neat little show.

The nighttime show was live music, with this Cozumel band. They were pretty good, playing Beatles, Queen, Floyd, and other random artists. People were dancing and having a good time! It was a fun end to the night!

Mark and I are about to check out of Cozumel Palace and head over on the ferry to Playa Del Carmen, where we're heading to Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso! This place had awesome pictures and reviews online, so we are super excited to experience this new place.

Hopefully our traveling goes alright and we'll update again later!

Love, Mr. and Mrs. Frilles!
