Day 2 - Honeymoon

Day 2 started off with a quick trip to the gym.. got to keep a balance for all the food I'll be eating! It's a really nice gym that overlooks the ocean while running. Not a bad view for working out.

Breakfast buffet had a bunch of yogurt, fruits, specialty breads, bacon, sausage, traditional Mexican food, pancakes, waffles, plus made-to-order omelettes, specialty blended juices, and more. It was such a great start to the day. I even had some specialty hot chocolate that was very creamy. Yum!

After digesting a bit by the pool, we went snorkeling. The area is decent for fishes.. there is a roped-off area and a lifeguard watching snorkelers at all times.

After a bit of snorkeling, we decided to dry off and have a couple drinks because.. why not??

Some examples of the yummy drinks we've been having. And a shot of the outdoor bar where Mark is grabbing us drinks. The staff has been very attentive and friendly. This is the type of view we have while laying out.

It's safe to say that Mark is really enjoying himself here. :)

Lunch is also a buffet with tacos, a variety of meats, more specialty breads, make your own ice cream sundaes/cones, a three milk cake, and other food/desserts. Here's a couple shots from lunch..

After a siesta and late lunch, we thought a walk into the center of town and the shops would be a nice break. Turns out that once the cruise ships and tourists leave, shops pretty much shut down. We walked to Punta Langosta and almost every shop was closed! We decided to skip out and hope things will be open on Wednesday when we leave Cozumel on the ferry.

We walked back and changed for dinner. Mark and I wanted to try the Italian place and it requires a dress code of pants for the men. It is in the same place as breakfast and lunch buffet, but is a la carte for dinner.

I enjoyed a la caprese salad and Mark had fried calamari. Our main courses were ravoli la spinach for me and a steak marsala for Mark.

The sun was setting just as we were finishing up. It was a really pretty sunset and there were plenty of couples out by the railing enjoying the view together.

Cozumel Palace puts on a show each night and tonight's show was an international show. There were dancers that performed different types of dancing, like salsa, cancan, 50s swing, and more.

Mark and I were sitting at the outside bar and he noticed there were mosquitos trying to get him. He ended up getting bit 4 times.. me? None! (Like normal.)

So, we moved into the lobby area, had another drink, then ended the night. All in all a good day, even though the main shopping center was closed.

Love, Mr. and Mrs. Frilles!
